This sermon goes over how going through pain and suffering is good for us and makes us better people. If we just have everything handed to us then we would turn out as wicked selfish people that only care about ourselves. Being poor and working hard to gain wealth over time will help us become better people. Going through hard times physically, emotionally and spiritually helps us grow and become humble servants for the Lord.
